Comics creator Joe Sacco has a two-page, in-depth career overview in the January 22nd issue of Rolling Stone, tied to the release of his new graphic novel, The Fixer, from Drawn & Quarterly.

The article's writer, Mark Binelli, calls Sacco, 'America's best comic-book artist,' and 'one of today's sharpest war correspondents.'  In the feature, Harvey Pekar of American Splendor fame (see 'American Splendor Top Picture Award!'), said that 'Joe is top-notch and his books are really important for the medium.'

The Fixer, a $24.95, 106-page, black & white hardcover about people who sell war correspondents stories of human tragedy and moral outrage, is already highly acclaimed, leading the pack on several 'best of 2003' lists, such as those of Time.com, The Village Voice, Publishers Weekly, LA Weekly and Booklist.
