Originally published in Detective Comics #871 - 881, The Black Mirror is written by Scott Snyder and illustrated by Jock and Francesco Francavilla. Dick Grayson has taken the cowl of the Batman, and after a series of gruesome murders, he finds himself facing Gotham City’s oldest evil in the Mirror House. The volume also includes the “Skeleton Cases” and “Hungry City” storylines, and Jock and Francavilla tag-team on art duties, with Jock illustrating the Batman-centric tales and Francavilla drawing interspersed Jim Gordon stories.
The widely-praised story originally ran in 2011 and was first collected in 2012, but it remains a solid-seller and still breaks the top 500 graphic novels sales chart (see “Top 500 Graphic Novels--May 2018”).
