Tokyopop has announced the awarding of the master toy license for Rave Master to Hasbro, the American toy giant, which already holds the license for two other major anime-connected toy lines, Transformers and Beyblade.  The Rave Master anime series is scheduled to debut on the Cartoon Network in 2004 (see 'Rave Master on Toonami in 2004,' with the first Hasbro Rave Master toys set to hit retailers' shelves in the fall of 2004.  Tokyopop will continue to publish English language editions of the 21 Rave Master graphic novels, which have already been published in Japan, where the property is a major hit.

 

Rave Master is a popular shonen (boys' comic) adventure series featuring a young hero who must travel the globe and retrieve a collection of powerful Rave stones, which he needs to defeat the malevolent Shadow Guard.
