The relaunch of the DC Universe is coming to WizKids’ licensed DC Comics HeroClix game with the release of the DC Rebirth sets in April.  A Fast Forces set, Booster Bricks, and a Dice and Token Pack are all planned, along with a Release Day OP Kit.

The Rebirth was launched in Spring, 2016 (see “DC Unveils ‘Rebirth’”).  Now the characters of this new imagining of the DC Universe will be available to play in the DC Comics HeroClix game, including characters from the Justice League, the JSA, the Teen Titans, and others.

The DC Rebirth Fast Forces set focuses on the Justice League and features Aquaman, Cyborg, The Flash, and Wonder Woman with all-new dials as well as introducing Justice League of China heroes Super-Man (Kenan Kong) and Bat-Man (Wang Baixi) to the game for the first time.  MSRP is $16.99.

Other heroes and villains can be found in the DC Rebirth Boosters, including Bizarro, Red Hood, Artemis, Power Girl, The Signal, Colonel Poison, Bumblebee, Cyclone, Commander Steel, Shade the Changing Girl, Jessica Cruz, Flex Mentallo, and members of Deathstroke’s Defiance and Justice League China.  The complete DC Rebirth series will include 16 common (plus 1 prime), 16 uncommon (plus 1 prime), 16 rare (plus 1 prime), 12 super rare (plus 1 prime), and 8 chase figures, packaged randomly in boxes.  DC Rebirth Boosters will be sold in Booster Bricks with an MSRP of $129.90 per brick.

A DC Rebirth Dice and Token Pack will also be on offer, with a pair of custom dice and six action tokens.  MSRP is $9.99.

WizKids is inviting retailers to host Release Day events to celebrate the launch with the DC Rebirth Release Day OP Kit, available while supplies last.  Each kit comes with three copies of a limited edition Mr. Terrific miniature and character card, five double-sided game maps, and instructions.  Stores are limited to three Release Day OP Kits, which are marked “Not for Resale” as part of WizKid’s Promotional Product Licensing Agreement.

HeroClix continues to be a cornerstone of the collectible games market, claiming the #4 spot on ICv2’s list of top sellers last spring (see “Top Collectible Games--Spring 2018”).
