At New York Comic Con, AfterShock Comics unveiled two original graphic novels: Out of the Blue by Garth Ennis, and Horde by Marguerite Bennett.

Out of the Blue is written by Ennis with art by Keith Burns. Set near the end of WWII, tempers fray in the Royal Air Force. Pilot Jamie McKenzie clashes with his commanding officer, and gets paired with the most unpopular navigator in the unit and assigned its least reliable aircraft for his enemy coast shipping strikes. The 72-page hardcover has an MSRP of $19.99 and is set to release in March.

Horde is written by Marguerite Bennett, with art by Leila Leiz. A hoarder’s house has taken on a life of its own, and it is not happy. Ruby Ando tries to reconnect with her estranged mother after her father’s death, but its clear to Ruby that her mother loves her treasures and trinkets more than her daughter. It is said that a hoarder is possessed by their possessions, but that may only be half of it. As Ruby tries to free her mother from her desperate living situation, the house fights back. The Horde is determined to purge Ruby from the collection, or else make her a permanent piece. The 64-page hardcover has an MSRP of $19.99, and will release in summer 2019.
