Anime Nation is reporting that Joe Menosky, who worked as a writer and producer on several different Star Trek series, will write and produce a live action version of the Witch Hunter Robin anime series.  Menosky told Anime Nation that the Sci-Fi Channel had acquired the rights for a live action remake of Witch Hunter Robin from Sunrise Animation, the Japanese studio, which produced the anime.

With its tight knit group of attractive, black-clad teen occultists, Witch Hunter Robin has already found a substantial audience on DVD and its debut on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim in February (see 'Witch Hunter Robin Coming to the Cartoon Network') should allow the property to surge in popularity.
