A new army of green-skinned combatants will soon be available for Warhammer:  Age of Sigmar when Games Workshop releases the Destruction Battletome:  Gloomspite Gitz and supporting miniatures, which begin shipping on January 12.

The Gloomspite Gitz battletome describes the insane forces of the “Bad Moon,” including the grots, troggoths, gargants, and squigs that fight in its name.  The book details the history of the faction, the hallucinogenic fungus that binds them together, the units that make up the faction, and the alliance abilities, battalion formats, and other rules for using the Bad Moon’s followers in the game, plus the full-color photographs of painted figures that Games Workshop is famous for.

The battletome will have an MSRP of $40.00.  An upgraded limited edition version will also be available for $80.00 MSRP.

The new army will be represented by a number of new miniature kits including:

The hero Skragrott the Loonking, mystic of the Bad Moon and self-proclaimed king of the grots.  MSRP $35.00.

Squig Hoppers, madcap grot cavalry mounted on all-devouring two-legged beasts.  MSRP $50.00.

Fanatics, zealous grot warriors armed with flails as large as themselves.  MSRP $40.00.

The cave-like Bad Moon Loonshrine, which can bring slain grots back into play.  MSRP $60.00.

And, of course, more squigs in the Squig Herd kit.  MSRP $45.00.

A set of new “endless spells” tailored to the Gloomspite Gitz faction is also being released.  MSRP $35.00.

There will be two gaming accessories related to the new faction:  a pack of squishy, sculpted Squig Dice resembling those creatures for MSRP $30.00 and the Warscroll Cards:  Gloomspite Gitz, including cards for every Gitz unit for quick reference during play and a sheet of tokens to help track in-game effects for MSRP $15.00.
