Drawn & Quarterly has announced its fall releases, with new work from Lynda Barry and full-color Little Lulu in the mix.

Lynda Barry will teach readers about Making Comics in the followup to her bestseller Syllabus. Barry draws on her experience as an instructor to provide comics-making exercises, tips, and motivation for being creative through comics. Making Comics is a 200-page, full-color paperback that will be on sale in September for an MSRP of $21.95.

Little Lulu is back in full color in Little Lulu: The Hooky Team from renown Lulu artist John Stanley. The classic tale of Lulu’s accidental go at playing hooky and more are reprinted in glorious four colors for a new generation. The 272-page hardcover will be available sometime in 2019 for an MSRP of $29.95.

Tian Veasna explores his family’s escape from Phnom Penh after the takeover of the Khmer Rouge in Year of the Rabbit. Veasna was born just days after the takeover, so the tale is told from the perspective of his parents and close relatives. The 384-page, full-color paperback will be on sale in August for an MSRP of $29.95.

Through his signature creation Glenn Ganges, artist Kevin Huizenga meditates on life, time, and marriage in The River at Night. The 240-page, full-color hardcover will be on shelves in September for an MSRP of $39.95.

In The Hard Tomorrow, Eleanor Davis examines the anxieties of contemporary 30-somethings through the perspective of Hannah, a home health worker and antiwar activist, her pothead stay-at-home husband Johnny, and their friends Gabby and Tyler. The 152-page, black-and-white hardcover is on sale in October for an MSRP of $24.95.

Sylvia Nickerson examines urban renewal and gentrification in a Rustbelt city from the inside and outside in Creation, a 180-page paperback that will be on sale in October. The black-and-white volume has an MSRP of $21.95.
