The Pokemon Company International unveiled the first line of Detective Pikachu tie-in products.

Wicked Cool Toys will over a series of plush, action figures, and roleplay items that will be available at mass retailers beginning in April.

  • Pokemon Detective Pikachu Movie Feature Plush includes two voice modes “Detective Pikachu” and “Pikachu.” The plush features 14 responses, motorized ears and a detective hat.
  • Pokemon Detective Pikachu Movie Figure Line will include 2-inch scale figures of Detective Pikachu, Psyduck, and Bulbasaur; and 3-inch scale articulated figures of Ludicolo, Mr. Mime, and others.

Mattel’s Mega Construx brand, which already includes a line of Pokemon building sets, with expand their collection to include characters and settings from the movie. The first wave of items will hit shelves on March 25. Highlights will include Mega Construx Detective Pikachu and Mega Construx Detective Pikachu Mr. Mime.

The official Pokemon merchandise online destination, Pokemon Center, will feature a variety of apparel, accessories, roleplay and lifestyle times beginning in April.

The Pokemon Company is releasing several products for the Pokemon Trading Card Game as well (see “Detective Pikachu Adds Brilliant Deduction to 'Pokemon TCG'”).

The Pokemon Company is also developing licensed apparel and home décor through a variety of licensees that will be available at mass retailers closer to the movie's release.

The film opens in theaters on May 10 (see “'Pokemon Detective Pikachu' Trailer”).
