Fantasy Flight Games will release A Game of Thrones: The Card Game expansion Dragons of the East in Q4. The new expansion centers around House Targaryen as it prepares to sail for Westeros with a hoard of Dothraki, Unsullied, and of course, dragons. This is the eighth expansion for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game (see "Feel the 'Fury of the Storm' in New Deluxe Expansion for 'A Game of Thrones: The Card Game'").

The featured card in this expansion is an eight-gold version of Daenerys Targaryen. She is a character to build an entire deck strategy around. Her Action allows players to search the top 10 cards of their decks for an attachment or a Dragon card then add it to their hand. Although she can only perform this action once per round, the search Action adds serious synergy to Dragon-based decks.

Beyond Khaleesi's new card, there are new mercenaries. Ser Meryn Trant is included in the set. He removes discarded cards from the game, thereby hindering recursion strategies. House Targaryen also gains cards like Dragonstone Convert that prevent named cards from being played during a given phase of the game.

Dragons of the East will retail for $29.99 and comes with six-extended art cards if pre-ordered through the Fantasy Flight website.
