The MMPR Shattered Grid LCSD 2019 Blind Box Set, limited to 500 units, will include a MMPR Shattered Grid Deluxe Hardcover, a MMPR #42 Exclusive LCSD variant plus two surprise Power Rangers variants.
The MMPR Year One and Two Hardcover Bundle, limited to 750 units, will include the two hardcovers with exclusive cover variants by Goni Montes.
The fifth annual holiday season in-store event, organized by the retailer organization, will be held Saturday, November 23, 2019, the weekend before Thanksgiving. Participating retailers, who are required to register with ComicsPro, will be able to order limited edition products to be sold on the day of the event from Diamond Comic Distributors. Eleven publishers provided products for last year’s event (see "Local Comic Shop Day 2018 Titles").
Deadlines are soon: retailer registration closes September 23, and Final Order Cutoff for LCSD items will be on September 30.
In addition to selling limited edition products, local comic stores incorporate a variety of other elements based on local discretion, including sales, art contests, artist signings, cosplay, and charity involvement. "Local Comic Shop Day highlights the uniqueness of participating shops because every comic shop is its own universe," ComicsPro Executive Director Marco Davanzo said of the event.
