Fantasy Flight Games will be releasing Doom: The Board Game, based on the soon-to-be released Doom 3 computer game, in October.  FFG's game, with a MSRP of $39.95, will incorporate graphics and themes from Doom 3 and include dozens of plastic miniatures, special oversized dice, board pieces for players to make custom maps and weapons.

 

War of the Ring, currently scheduled for release in July with a $69.95 MSRP, is a strategic board game based on the Lord of the Rings trilogy.  This huge dice-based game contains a large color map of Middle Earth, over 200 plastic figures (including each member of the Fellowship of the Ring), 135 die-cut counters, over 100 cards for Events and Characters and over 20 dice.

 

Coming in August from FFG will be a Fireborn: Player's Handbook and a Fireborn: Game Master's Handbook, both with $29.95 MSRP.  This new non-d20 role-playing system takes players from the greatness of a fantastic civilization to a modern day brink of destruction scenario under encroachment by magical forces.  Support products are planned for late 2004 and 2005.
