Iello has revealed plans to release Khora: Rise of an Empire, a civilization-building game set in ancient Greece, on October 22.

In Khora, each player is the ruler of a Greek city-state, competing against their rivals to create the most magnificent civilization.  They must balance their economy, culture, and military to develop their society and pursue their goals.  Dice rolls are used to determine which actions are available during the turn, such as collecting taxes, colonizing foreign lands, and unlocking achievements.

Khora:  Rise of an Empire includes 1 main board, 4 player boards, 7 city-state tiles, 36 wooden pawns, 120 tokens, 28 action tiles, 56 cards, 45 coins, and 12 dice.  The game is intended for 2 to 4 players, and takes about an hour to play.  MSRP is $54.99.

In March, Iello will release Kraken Attack! (see “Iello Will Release the ‘Kraken Attack!’”) and Flying Goblin (see “Catapult Goblins Towards the Castle in ‘Flying Goblin’”).  In April, the limited Dark Edition of King of Tokyo will launch (see “Tokyo Goes Dark in ‘King of Tokyo:  Dark Edition’”).
