Oni Press, which just published collected editions of Valerie Minelli’s Mrs. Follein webcomic and a deluxe omnibus edition of Chris Onstad’s Achewood, has revealed plans to publish three more webcomics collections in Summer 2020.
Next up is Hell Was Full, Brandon Reese’s darkly funny collection of absurdist scenarios, from a rebellious toaster to raccoons feasting on the head of God, which he began after the 2016 election. The print edition includes not only the alt-text from the webcomic but also some new material. The 192-page, landscape-format hardcover is scheduled for June 17 and will have an MSRP of $24.99.
The third title, Frankie Comics by Rachel Dukes, is a cute, funny, slice-of-life comic about a couple and their cat, Frankie, a blue-point Siamese whom they found sleeping in their doorway as a kitten. Frankie has a way of getting in the way, and this slice-of-life comic captures his antics with gentle humor that will appeal to fans of Chi’s Sweet Home and Pusheen. The full-color, 144-page hardcover will be available on August 26 and will have an MSRP of $17.99.
