DC’s upcoming middle-grade graphic novel, Flash Facts, is an anthology of short stories that explain how forensic scientists solve crimes, why the polar ice is melting, and more, all overseen by The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik.
A cadre of DC characters, including Flash, Batman, and Wonder Woman, will explain the underlying principles and introduce readers to both the vastness of the Milky Way and the tiniest living organism on earth. Creators on the project include Amanda Diebert, the writer for several DC Super Hero Girls graphic novels, Kirk Scroggs (The Secret Spiral of Swamp Kid), and Michael Northrop (Dear Justice League) as well as Vita Ayala, Corinna Bechko, Cecil Castellucci (The Plain Janes), Amy Chu (Sea Sirens), Sholly Fisch (Scooby-Doo Team-Up), and Dustin Hansen (Microsaurs, My Video Game Ate My Homework). Derek Charm is the cover artist.
Flash Facts is scheduled for February 21, 2021 release with an MSRP of $9.99.
The graphic novel will be aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards, which are designed to help students connect the S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) concepts they learn in school with their everyday lives.
