Heavy Metal announced three hires, including a new relationship with Hollywood journalist Geoff Boucher.  Boucher joins the company as Editor-at-Large, contributing prose pieces for Heavy Metal magazine, and also creating a weekly podcast, Geoff Boucher’s Mindspace, which Heavy Metal will co-produce.  The first content under the new deal will be an interview with Malcolm McDowell on the 50th anniversary of A Clockwork Orange, which will begin on the podcast and conclude in Heavy Metal #301.  The podcast is a collaboration of Heavy Metal and DIGA Sounds, the podcasting division of DIGA Studios.

Most recently, Boucher was genre editor at Deadline; he founded Hero Complex at the Los Angeles Times and is a big-name moderator for Hollywood panels at San Diego Comic-Con.

Jeremy DeChant joins the company as Sales & Marketing Manager; he previously was Social Media Manager for MAD Event Management, which runs Long Beach Comic Con.

And Tina-Louise Johnson has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer from her previous position as Director of Finance.  Johnson has a long history in project financial management roles, with stints at Technicolor, Warner Bros., and Disney Regional Entertainment.
