IDW Games announced Galaxy Hunters, a worker placement game, for release into trade on January 29.

In Galaxy Hunters, players become mercenary battle mech pilots sent out by the Megacorporations to hunt down mutants for harvesting. Players battle to earn victory points by gaining pilot skills, upgrading their mechs, optimizing their mech builds, completing missions, and earning reputation with the galaxy’s different factions. There are also several different routes to victory in Galaxy Hunters, which adds to the replayability of the game.

The game box will come with a game board, 4 Battle Mech figures, 4 Pilot tiles, 4 Mech tiles, 45 Mission cards, 24 Specialist cards, 30 Mutant tiles, 45 Mech Upgrade tiles, 13 Pilot Upgrade tiles, 100 DNA tokens, 32 Resource tokens, 8 Status tokens, 4 resource trackers, 12 Agent ships, 90 stats cubes, 7 Reputation, and a Turn/Invasion marker. This game is for two to four players, ages 14 and up, plays in 30 minutes, and will retail for $79.99.

IDW Games and CMON recently teamed up to bring a Arcadia Quest: Usagi Yojimbo Hero Pack to market in February 2021 (see "Rabbit Ronin 'Usagi Yojimbo' Wanders Into 'Arcadia Quest'").
