The Hunt for the Prometheus boxed set provides 2-players with everything needed to get on-board with the new edition.  Based on the endeavours of the Hypatia class generator ship, Prometheus, the set contains 30 highly detailed plastic & resin miniatures: 14 ships from the Covenant of the Enlightened fleet and 16 Ships from the Commonwealth fleet, a rule book, campaign book, and a full range of essential accessories.  This is the first boxed set from Warcradle Studios to include plastic sprues, manufactured by themselves in the UK.  The result is high-quality miniatures that are easier to assemble using plastic glue instead of superglue.  The plastic miniatures in this set have fantastic detailing and are easy for players to assemble and customize.

Journey into the New Edition
This starts with the story of an intriguing encounter between the Enlightened and the Commonwealth which introduces players to the new rule system using an immersive campaign setting.  There are eight factions in total in the Third Edition, the other six factions are covered in the rule book and will be receiving plenty of exciting miniatures when they join the fray later in the year.

With their chosen fleets, players take on the unforgiving ocean in a mission to recover resources hidden within its depths, exploring new territories while unleashing catastrophic blows to their opponent, in an attempt to stop the unravelling war that is threatening the Dystopian Age.

With the Hunt for the Prometheus starter set, players receive enough ship miniatures to build a sizable Commonwealth or Enlightened fleet of their own.  Three large resin ship miniatures are included in the set; a Descartes Class Control Ship and a Hypatia Class Generator Ship for the Enlightened, a Borodino Class Battleship for the Commonwealth.  Alongside these ships are two multi-part plastic kits, one for each faction, offering various build options for frigates and cruisers.  So fleets can be built to fit individual players' needs.

The Enlightened sprues are the first to contain Short Range Squadron (SRS) tokens, representing fighters and bombers.

These SRS tokens are designed to be mounted on a medium plinth base and can be launched to defend units or to attack their enemies.  These stackable tokens represent squadrons of fighters as they make attack runs and dogfight in the skies above as the fleets clash below.

This is the first Dystopian Wars product available to pre-order and provides an opportunity for players to double-up, combine miniatures and get ready for larger games in the new year.  Not only has this set been designed to support those interested in joining the battle, it is a high-quality fantastic entry-level item for players and great value for money.
