The Game Manufacturer's Association announced that they have pushed Origins Game Fair back till the Fall due to COVID-19 pandemic concerns.

Origins Game Fair 2021 was originally scheduled to take place on June 16 to June 20. They have decided to move Origins to September 30 to October 3 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the proposed vaccination distribution timeline varying from state to state. It will be an in-person convention, but attendees may be required to adhere to certain safety guidelines. Organizers are still developing the guidelines, but they may include requiring attendees to wear face masks, social distancing, and temperature checks.

GAMA will provide updates as the event draws nearer. Exhibitor and sponsorship information will be available on February 16.

GAMA also recently made changes to their Origins Awards categories (see "RPG Categories for Origins Awards Changed ").
