Portal Games announced Dune: House of Secrets, a new tabletop game that runs on the Detective system, for release in Q4 2021.

A new Dune tabletop game, designed by board game industry veteran Ignacy Trzewiczek and written by Przemyslaw Rymer, Jacub Poczety, and Weronika Spyra, is headed into board game markets. The CEO of Gale Force Nine John-Paul Brisigotti, who has produced new Dune games in the past few years (see "Gale Force Nine Reveals 'Dune' Details"), helped broker this deal between the Legendary Entertainment and Portal Games to make Portal's new Dune game series possible.

Dune: House of Secrets, the first part of a trilogy of games, will be an episodic game that runs on the Detective system (see "Portal Games Reveals 'Detective: Season One'"). In each episode, players earn experience points, level up their characters, and unlock new gameplay options. The adventures can be played as standalone episodes or in a campaign mode, but the entire narrative is only unveiled after all three episodes are complete.

This game is for one to five players, is a cooperative game, and utilizes both physical and digital components. There has been no word on MSRP as of the publication of this article.
