Shamans, which releases in February, puts players in the roles of Shamans, protectors of the spirit worlds, or as Shadows, threats that have loomed since the dawn of time. Rounds of Shamans represent a lunar cycle, with the Shamans and the Shadows facing off. Each player is given their role in secret at the beginning, having no idea who else might be a corrupted rival or an ally. The game box includes a game board, 12 artifact tiles, a Shadow pawn, a first player tile, 42 victory point tokens, 61 cards, 56 World cards, and rules.
Shamans for three to five players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 40 minutes.
Nidavellir, releasing in April, finds the Dwarf Kingdom threatened by the dragon Fafnir. The King has tasked the players to travel through the kingdom and recruit the most skillful dwarves and prestigious heroes to build the best battalion. Each turn, players will place bids on each tavern, recruiting characters in descending order. Every dwarf class comes with its own scoring mechanism, and careful recruitment allows plays to attract powerful heroes to their forces. Nidavellir includes 87 Dwarf cards, 5 distinction cards, 5 royal offering cards, 21 hero cards, 3 tavern signs, 6 gems, 60 gold coins, a royal treasure, 4 card holders, a scoring pad, and rules.Nidavellir is for two to five players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 45 minutes.
Nidavellir: Thingvellir, an expansion to Nidavellir, adds the tribe of Thingvellir to the game. Players who place the highest best at the tavern may instead option to visit the tribe’s camp. There they may recruit a Mercenary card or take a Magic artifact. Nidavellir: Thingvellir includes 12 Mercenary cards, 12 artifact cards, six hero cards, a camp sign, 10 class tokens, five reference cards, a scoring pad, and rules.Nidavellir: Thingvellir is for two to five players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 45 minutes. A copy of the base game is required. A release date have not been provided as of yet.
