Asmodee USA announced MEOW, a card game designed by Reiner Knizia and published by Cranio Creations, for release into U.S. retail in March.

In MEOW, intelligent cats fight for the best bowls of food. Players collect the best bowls, while trying to  avoid fishbones. The game is played out over the course of three rounds with each round lasting nine turns. Players lay down one cat card per turn, and the most valuable card played earns an Award. The player that get the most points wins the game at the end of the three rounds.  

The game comes in a neoprene pouch with 54 Cat cards, 27 Award tokens, and rulebooks in five languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian). This game is for two to six players, ages 8 and up, plays in 20 minutes, and retails for $14.99.

Asmodee USA will also release Mekhane, a storytelling card game by Cranio Creations, into the U.S. hobby channel in March (see "Tell Tales of Life and Death in 'Mekhane'").
