Asmodee will be releasing Influentia, a trick-taking game from Spanish publisher Ludonova, into the U.S. market in March.

Set in a cyberpunk-style future, Influentia puts players in control of powerful families in a futuristic northern Italy.  Acting as top megacorporate executives, they seek to expand their influence over the game’s post-industrial dystopia, recruiting groups like netrunners and cyber-implant technosurgeons to advance their agendas.

Using trick-taking card game mechanics, players use Resource cards to acquire either valuable City cards or claim Resources played in the trick by another player.  Resource cards can also be used to trigger a variety once enough have been collected.  After three rounds of play, the winner is the one with the most victory points.

Influentia comes with 108 cards, 20 tokens, and 1 game board.  It is intended for 3 or 4 players, ages 10 and up, and takes about 45 minutes to play.  The game was designed by Miguel Bruque (New Corp Order).  MSRP is $24.99.

Asmodee also plans to release Ginkgopolis (see “Asmodee USA Will Release ‘Ginkgopolis’ into U.S. Trade”), Mekhane (see “Tell Tales of Life and Death in ‘Mekhane’”), and Meow (see “Cats Battle for the Best Bowls of Food in ‘Meow’”) in March.
