Rio Grande Games unveiled Art Decko, a new deck-building game by Ta-Te Wu, which will release into retail in October.

In Art Decko, players attempt to build the most valuable collection of fine art. Players use their in-game fortunes to accumulate paintings from five different art genres: Art Nouveau, Pop Art, Renaissance, Surrealism, and Impressionism. The deck-building mechanic utilized in this game simulates the process of a collector amassing an art collection and increasing its value. It is a heavyweight game that has players making difficult decisions and adapting their strategies mid-game in order to succeed.

This game features 15 pieces of original, gallery-quality art in five different genres from Lauren Brown, Alex Eckman-Lawn, Kwanchai Moriya, Heather Vaughn, and Alison Parks. The game box come with 75 Painting cards, 42 Gold cards, 16 Exhibition Bonus tiles, 20 Cost tokens, 46 Painting Genre markers, 40 Player ribbons, a Gold Market Rating Marker, a Museum game board, a Market Rating board, 4 player boards, and a draw bag. It is for two to four players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 30 to 60 minutes. It will retail for $44.95.

Rio Grande Games will also release Power Grid: France & Italy, an expansion for Power Grid: Recharged or Power Grid, into retail (see "Rio Grande Games Electrifies 'France & Italy'").
