Star Wars jumps on the bake-off bandwagon with a new one-shot comic due out from IDW on January 5, 2022. Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures: Galactic Bake-Off Spectacular will pit Torban “Buckets of Blood” Buck against Kantam Sy as they both prepare Master Yoda’s special pastries. There’s more to the competition than skill with a whisk, though: The recipe also requires a story, so the two bakers relay their tales of an epic battle as they prepare the pastries. The 48-page one-shot comic, which includes the pastry recipe, is written by Daniel Jose Older and Vita Ayala, with art by Toni Bruno and Jo Cheol-hong and a main cover by Jason Loo. The MSRP is $5.99, and retailers who order 10 copies will get one free variant cover by Cheol-hong.
