"Explore the Store" is ICv2's new feature series of articles that showcase the layout, inventory, and decor of local gaming and comic book stores across the United States. For this inaugural article, ICv2 visited the Dragon's Refuge at 1250 Larry Power Rd, Bourbonnais, IL 60914 on November 24, 2021.

The Dragon's Refuge is unique as it is a FLGS that it sells comics and games to a predominantly rural population along the Kankakee River in Illinois. In general, the area around Bourbonnais is farmland with industrial complexes, such as metal and lumber companies, set up in and around the city. This store has a large space dedicated to in-store game, and is heavily-stocked with miniatures and TCG products.
