The new chart (see "January 2022") essentially reaffirmed the "new normal" established in the TCG sealed sales world from the end of 2020 to the beginning of 2021. Pokemon TCG claimed seven of the top ten slots, and remains the most desired of the TCG sealed products on TCGplayer's platform. Beyond Pokemon's dominance, Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG and Magic: The Gathering continue to battle it out for the second-most desired sealed product of TCGplayer's site, and beyond that, a few singleton products made the January chart from up-and-coming brands like Flesh and Blood TCG, Digimon CG, and MetaZoo.
One of the more interesting developments on this chart has to do with Magic's upcoming Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty set (see "'Kamigawa Neon Dynasty'"). The Set Boosters are actually up in preorder value, from $108.60 to $123.87, and Collector Boosters are holding their value. This is a good sign for a Magic Standard set product, as 2021's charts were riddled with sub-par preorder chart rankings and diving box prices for Standard sealed boxes in the aftermarket. The relative strength of this product probably has to do with its fan-favorite planar theme and the new variant Ukiyo-ebasic lands added to the set (see "Wizards of the Coast Previews 'Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty' for 'Magic: The Gathering'"), which should be popular with collectors that enjoy classic Japanese artwork. In general, this price action is a good sign for sealed Standard Magic products. On TCGplayer's January Top 25 Sealed Products Chart
