The Pokemon Company International revealed Sword & Shield - Astral Radiance, the next expansion for Pokemon TCG, which will hit retail on May 27, 2022.

This new booster set is inspired by the Pokemon Legends: Arceus video game, showcasing a variety of Hisuian Pokemon and card art depicting the Hisui region. It introduces Radiant Pokemon, a new gameplay mechanic where these characters have a powerful Ability or attack that can impact strategies in the current Pokemon TCG metagame. There will be a total of three Radiant Pokemon characters included in this set.

This set also includes a special Trainer Gallery with artwork of fan-favorite Trainers and Pokemon. It also contains 8 Pokemon VSTAR cards, 21 Pokemon V cards, 2 Pokemon VMAX cards, and over 20 Trainer cards. The set will be available in booster packs, Elite Trainer Boxes, and special collections.

The Pokemon Company International will also release Pokemon TCG: Arceus V Figure Collection into retail stores (see "'Pokemon TCG: Arceus V Figure Collection' Headed to Retail").
