Vanguard Productions will publish Frazetta Book Cover Art: The Definitive Reference, by J, David Spurlock, a complete collection of book covers by renowned fantasy artist Frank Frazetta. The book is similar to Vanguard’s Frazetta: The Definitive Reference, but because it focuses solely on cover art, the images are larger, with one cover per page. The 168-page, 8 x 11-inch hardcover will be available on June 29 with an MSRP of $39.95. 

Vanguard will also offer a deluxe slipcased edition with a 16-page bonus folio of Frazetta’s frontispiece drawings, with an MSRP of $69.95.

Frazetta, who died in 2010, was known for his painted covers and illustrations for science fiction and fantasy books, both novels and comics, including Conan, Tarzan, and King Kong. Vanguard published Fantastic Paintings of Frazetta in 2020 (see “Vanguard to Publish ‘Fantastic Paintings of Frazetta’”).
