IDW Publishing has announced that it reprinted its 48-page Prestige format comic adaptation of Underworld, which starred Kate Beckinsale and Scott Speedman, in a reduced size so it would fit in the DVD box of the two-disc Underworld Unrated Extended Cut DVD.  Taking advantage of this opportunity to reach potential new readers, IDW included Comic Shop Locator Service information in this mini-comic, which is available only with the DVD, which was released May 25th.

The original film and comic adaptation were followed by an IDW prequel series (see 'IDW to Publish Underworld Prequel'), which was co-written by the author of the screenplay for the movie, Danny McBride, who is also scripting the Underworld sequel (see 'Underworld Sequel Set').
