The framework for the comic is Yoda’s reflections on his past, as he remains in self-imposed exile on Dagobah. The first story arc, by writer Cavan Scott and artist Nico Leon, is set between the two phases of the High Republic era, which are about 150 years apart. Then writers Jody Houser and Marc Guggenheim and artists Luke Ross and Alessandro Miracolo follow up with stories set before the Prequel Trilogy and towards the end of the Clone Wars. Scott and Leon will return for the final issue to wrap things up. Star Wars: Yoda #1 is slated to go on sale in October.
Lucasfilm announced a new slate of comics and novels for Phase II of its High Republic storyline, which is set about 150 years before the events of Phase I and is titled Quest of the Jedi. Two new Marvel series were announced, and a new Dark Horse series was teased as well (see “First Marvel, Dark Horse Comics for ‘Star Wars: High Republic’ Phase II: ‘Quest of the Jedi’”).
