WizKids did well at the 2003 Origins Awards coming away with Game of the Year (Indy HeroClix), Top Miniature Accessory (Aurora Class Drop Ship), Best Science Fiction Miniatures Game Rules (Shadowrun Duels), Best Short Fiction (Podo and the Magic Shield), and Best Science Fiction Miniatures Series (MechWarrior Liao Incursion).
Fantasy Flight Games also did well coming away with Best Card Expansion (Game of Thrones: Fire & Ice Expansion), Best Board Design (A Game of Thrones) and Best Traditional Board Game (A Game of Thrones).
Eden Studios won Best Long Fiction (Book of Final Flesh) as well as Role-Playing Game of the Year (Angel).
Human Head Studios won for two awards for its Redhurst Academy of Magic, Best Book Design and Best RPG Supplement.
Decipher won Best Trading Card Game for its .hack//enemy, while Mayfair won Best Card Design and Best Traditional Card Game for Bang!.
Privateer Press also won two awards for its WarMachine Fantasy Miniatures: Best Fantasy Miniatures Rules and Best Fantasy Miniatures Series.
Looney Labs took the Best Abstract Board Game Award for its Zendo release, while Eagle Games took the Historical Board Game Award for Attack! (Mayfair won the Gamer's Choice Award for Best Historical Board Game for Settlers of the Stone Age).
Green Ronin took the top RPG Adventure for its Black Sails Over Freeport and Flying Buffalo took the Origin for Best Play-By-Mail for Starweb.
Games Workshop saw Warhammer 40K inducted into the Game Hall of Fame and also won Best Historical Miniatures Game Rules for El Cid, while Renegade Miniatures won Best Historical Miniatures Series for its 28mm Ancient Celts.
