Wizards of the Coast revealed August 2022 Superdrop, the next wave of Secret Lair sets for Magic: The Gathering, which is now on direct-to-consumer preorder.

WotC continues its Dominaria United themes into to this wave of Secret Lair sets. The Showcase drop features the five original Elder Dragons from Legends (see "Lost 'Magic: The Gathering' 'Legends'") reprinted as stained glass images in a Textured Foil treatment. Also, Dan Frazier, the artist who drew the original Moxen in Alpha Edition, returns to do retro renders of the Talismans. He had previously done two Secret Lairs featuring the Signets (see "New 'Secret Lair Superdrop' Set").

The following sets will be offered in the August 2022 Superdrop:

  • Showcase: Dominaria United Textured Foil Edition (Textured Foil $49.99): This set is a reprint of the original Elder Dragons in a new textured foil treatment. It comes with a Textured Foil Showcase Stained Glass Arcades Sabboth, a Textured Foil Showcase Stained Glass Chromium, a Textured Foil Showcase Stained Glass Nicol Bolas, a Textured Foil Showcase Stained Glass Vaevictis Asmadi, and a Textured Foil Showcase Stained Glass Palladia-Mors.
  • In Memoriam: Jaya Ballard (MSRP $29.99; Traditional Foil $39.99): It is a planewalker tribute set that comes with a Jaya Ballard, a Jaya's Immolating Inferno, a Pyretic Ritual, a Reprecussion, and a Pyromancer's Goggles.
  • Imaginary Friends (MSRP $29.99; Foil Etched $39.99):  The set comes with a Borderless Matter Reshaper, a Borderless Toothy, Imaginary Friend,  a Borderless Pir, Imaginative Rascal, a Borderless The Gitrog Monster, and a MTG Arena Redemption.
  • Artist Series: Nils Hamm (MSRP $29.99; Traditional Foil $39.99): Features a Deepglow Skate, a Tireless Tracker, a Contagion Engine, a Sword of Truth and Justice, and a MTG Arena Redemption code.
  • Artist Series: Victor Adame Minguez (MSRP $29.99; Traditional Foil $39.99): Set contains a  Knight Exemplar, a Knight of the White Orchid, a Lord of the Undead, a Compost, and a MTG Arena Redemption code.
  • Dan Frazier is Back Again: The Enemy Talismans (MSRP $29.99; Etched Foil $39.99): This drop comes with a Retro Frame Talisman of Hierarchy, a Retro Frame Talisman of Creativity, a Retro Frame Talisman of Resilience, a Retro Frame Talisman of Conviction, a Retro Frame Talisman of Curiosity, and a MTG Arena Redemption code.
  • Dan Frazier is Back Again: The Allied Talismans (MSRP $29.99; Etched Foil $39.99): Set contains a Retro Frame Talisman of Progress, a Retro Frame Talisman of Dominance, a Retro Frame Talisman of Indulgence, a Retro Frame Talisman of Impulse, a Retro Frame Talisman of Unity, and a MTG Arena Redemption code.

This drop also can be purchased in three different bundles. The Non-Stop, Non-Foil Bundle comes with one of each of the entirely non-foil sets (6 total) for $179.99, and the Full-of-Foils Bundle comes with one of each of the entirely foil ones (7 total) for $289.93. The Bundle Bundle comes with all the sets in the drop for $469.87.
