David Walker and Chuck Brown’s multi-Eisner Award winning series Bitter Root will be collected into a single omnibus volume due out next year from Image Comics. The 528-page hardcover will include Bitter Root #1-15 as well as the Bitter Root Red Summer Special. The omnibus will be released on February 22, 2023, with a cover by Sanford Greene and an MSRP of $59.99.

Set in Harlem in 1924, during the Harlem Renaissance, Walker and Brown’s Bitter Root features a family of monster hunters who must hold back an invasion of evil. The series won the Eisner Awards for Best Continuing Series in 2020 and 2022, and Legendary is producing a film based on the story with Oscar winner Regina King (One Night in Miami) as proucer and director (see “Regina King on ‘Bitter Root’”).
