The weekend featured two major events, an invite-only $50,000 U.S. Championship and a $20,000 Calling open event. The U.S. Championship had 435 players that battled it out over three days in Uprising booster draft and Classic Constructed formats. At the end of 14 rounds of swiss and Top 8 single elimination, two-time Calling champion Michael Hamilton managed to win the event with an Iyslander, Stormbind deck.
The Calling event drew 452 players, and ran alongside the U.S. Championship event. Collin Kaiser, who owns Sunshine Games in Tampa, FL, won the event with an Oldhim, Grandfather of Eternity deck. This same Calling event was won by Michael Hamilton with the same hero last year.
Legend Story Studios also recently announced their inaugural Flesh and Blood TCG World Championships, which will take place at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, CA on November 3, 2022 to November 6, 2022 (see "'Flesh and Blood TCG' World Championships").
