Pearl Games will release the real-time strategy board game Time of Empires on November 25.

Time of Empires challenges players to build and develop a civilization through the three ages of antiquity, the Middle Ages, and modernity while under rigid time pressure.  Each of the three ages lasts exactly nine minutes.  During that time, they must deploy their sand timers to take various actions as they attempt to build wonders, inspire leaders, expand their cities, and fight wars.

The game was created by David Simiand and Pierre Voye (the creators of Buurn).  It comes with 4 player boards, 2 technology boards, 1 leader board, 1 wonder board, 16 tiles, 8 sand timers with caps in 4 colors, 126 cards, 140 tokens, and 20 buildings.  It is intended for 2 to 4 players, ages 12 and up, with a full game taking less than an hour.  An app will be available for download which will provide a soundtrack and timer for the game.  MSRP has not been announced.
