In Magna Roma, players compete to build the greatest Roman city. On their turn, players place city tiles into their budding cityscape with each the newly placed tile connected to at least one of the previously added tiles. Connecting the tiles will create more resources for the player, such as coin and legions. The resources can be later used to initiate other game actions such as building monuments, gaining a Luxury Good, gaining the Gods' Favor tiles, or conquering new provinces for the Emperor. The player with the most points by the end of the game wins.
This game is for one to four players, ages 12 and up, and plays in 30 to 90 minutes. It will retail for $69.00. It is also available in a deluxe version that includes monument miniatures for $89.00.
Archona Studios also released Small Railroad Empires, a railroad-building game, into retail (see "'Small Railroad Empires' into Retail").
