Universal Home Video has announced that Battlestar Galactica: The All-New Miniseries will be available on DVD before the end of 2004.  The new series, which starred Edward James Olmos and Mary McConnell and which drew high ratings during its run on the Sci-Fi Channel (see 'Battlestar Boffo'), will be released as a two disk set and will include all four hours of the miniseries uncut.  In addition the DVD set will include deleted scenes, a commentary by Michael Rymer, and a documentary feature, Battlestar Galactica: The Lowdown.

Although the exact release date and price are not available now, the DVD version of the miniseries should be out sometime in Q4, which should roughly coincide with the return of series to the Sci-Fi Channel (see 'Battlestar Galactica To Be Regular Series').   Action figures from the original Battlestar Galactica should also be available later this year (see 'Battlestar Galactica Action Figures Due This Fall').
