Ryan Higgins, the owner of Comics Conspiracy in Sunnyvale, CA, and journalist Kevin Sharp have put together an 80-page anthology of comics about the comic shop life, and they are funding it with a Kickstarter campaign that will include a retailer tier.

The anthology, titled Meanwhile… A Comic Shop Anthology, will include short comics by Brian Michael Bendis and Bill Walko; Eva Cabrera; Eranga D; Ashanti Fortson; Dan Johnson and Rachel Distler; Corinne Halbert; Ryan Higgins and Leann Hill; Geoff Johns and Scott Kolins; Liana Kangas; Ariela Kristantina; Soo Lee; Sarah Leuver; Maria Llovet; Leonie O’Moore; Drew Rausch; Kaylee Rowena; Brock Sager and Lane Terasaki; Kevin Sharp and Michiums; Toby Sidler, Justin Grosjean, and John Grosjean; Isotope Comics owner James Sime and Christian Ward; Scott Snyder and Jock; Jenn St-Onge; Lucy Sullivan; Jodi Tong; Nicky Wheeler-Nicholson and Scott Larson; Joshua Williamson, Mike Henderson, and Adam Guzowski; and Lynne Yoshii. The lettering will be done by Nathan Kempf, John J. Hill, Ed Luce, Ariana Maher, and Micah Myers.

Meanwhile will be an 80-page, perfect bound comic and will be available with two covers, by Veronica Fish and Alison Sampson. Delivery is expected in late summer 2023.

The Kickstarter was launched on April 17, 2023 and has already reached its $2,500 goal, with current pledges totaling $2,678 from 152 backers.
