Neopets Battledome will be a two-player game that combines collectible cards and deck-building with a dice-based combat system. The initial set will feature more than 250 custom artworks and more than 20 collectible Neopets.
The Neopets brand is now being developed by a new management team at World of Neopia, Inc. under the leadership of CEO Dominic Law. The company seeks to reinvigorate the Neopets property with new material and on-line games, and has announced a deal with the singer John Legend to act as the “official Neopets Ambassador.”
Neopets is no stranger to the trading card games: In 2003, Wizards of the Coast offered a Neopets CCG (see “WotC Announces Neopets CCG”).
