MSN Games has announced a sneak preview of the download version of The Settlers of Catan at Gen Con Indy (August 19-22).  Just as in The Settlers of Catan board game (published in the U.S. by Mayfair Games), in the computer version of the game players claim new territories, build settlements and roads, and harvest valuable commodities in a race to settle new land.  The computer game will be available as an online multiplayer subscription or as a standalone download with free trial. 

Microsoft will also announce the Catan Online Website at Gen Con Indy.  The site will give fans the opportunity to monitor the development of the computer game and obtain a free online newsletter.
