Wizard Conventions has announced that attendance was up around 14% at its recently completed Chicago show, to over 54,000 attendees over the three-day show.  Attendance last year was over 48,000 (see 'Wizard World Chicago Breaks Record').  This marks a new record for a Wizard show.  Wizard's Chicago show remains the #2 pop culture show in the categories ICv2 covers, after the San Diego Comic-Con.

Among big events at the show was the impossible-to-get-into Batman Begins panel, with director Christopher Nolan and screenwriter David Goyer.  Footage from the film, currently shooting in Chicago, was shown, and Nolan and Goyer confirmed that the villains will be Ra's Al Ghul and the Scarecrow.
