According to the Hollywood Reporter Michael Madsen (Kill Bill) is joining Ben Kingsley (Ghandi), Michelle Rodriguez (The Fast and the Furious), and Kristina Loken (Terminator 3) in Uwe Boll's horror film based on Majesco's popular BLOODRAYNE video game.  The $50 million dollar production is set to get underway in Romania and the film is on track for a 2005 release.

Meanwhile Digital Webbing is launching a BLOODRAYNE comic book series in December.  Steven O'Connell and Jeffrey Stephenson are co-writing the comic with Romano Molenaar (Lady Death) providing the art.  The character of BloodRayne, a half-vampire, half-human 'Dhampir' provides an interesting twist on the vampire genre and could prove to be very alluring to devotees of horror's most popular subgenre.
