Skybound has announced the release of Creepshow: Joe Hill’s Wolverton Station on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, priced at $4.99. The one-shot is part of the comic book anthology series based on the Shudder TV series (see "Skybound Announces ‘Creepshow’ Comics Anthology"). Season 4 of the TV show is out now on AMC and AMC+, while the Creepshow Volume 2 comic anthology concludes with issue #5, out January 17, 2024.
Joe Hill (Locke & Key) described his short story, first published in 2011, as "a fairy tale… the older kind of fable, the sort with teeth." In the story, a cutthroat businessman discovers what a dog-eat-dog world would really look like if wolves were involved.
Jason Ciaramella (C is for Cthulu) and Michael Walsh (The Silver Coin) adapt the story into an expanded format, including the Creepshow host the Creep. Ciaramella has previously adapted Hill on an episode of Creepshow, "By the Silver Water of Lake Champlain." Walsh contributed to the Creepshow-themed set of Magic: The Gathering cards.
The main cover of Creepshow: Joe Hill’s Wolverton Station is by Michael Walsh, with a variant by Gabriel Rodriguez and a 1:10 incentive variant by Maria Wolf. Joe Hill previously was curating a horror imprint for DC Comics, Hill House (see "DC Black Label Launching New Horror Line"), but those titles concluded in 2022.
