Wizards of the Coast revealed the product line details for Murders at Karlov Manor, a new Magic: The Gathering Standard set, for release on February 2, 2024.

The first Standard set of 2024 features quite a few product changes. This set rings in the era of the Play Booster, which changes the lineup of product SKUs in a significant way (see "Consolidate 'Magic: The Gathering' Product SKUs Further"). Essentially, Play Boosters replace Set and Draft Boosters in several products, including the Bundles and Prerelease Packs. This puts WotC down two SKUs across their new Q1 product line from last year, after all is said and done, because they kicked set-specific Jumpstart displays to the curb as well, after the product performed as badly as, if not worse than, Theme Boosters, which was replaced by Jumpstart in Standard set releases.

To quell their open-and-play fan base's appetite for non-traditional boosters, WotC replaced the Q1 Premium Bundle with Murders at Karlov Manor Cluedo Edition, which is a game that includes a specialty booster type. The rest of the product line for this set goes as follows:  

Murders at Karlov Manor Collector Booster Packs and Displays. Murders at Karlov Manor Collector Booster Boxes come with 12 packs. These packs have 15 Magic: The Gathering cards and a traditional foil double-sided token inside of them. The cards included will be a combination of 5 cards of rarity Rare or higher, 3-5 uncommons, 4-6 commons, a full-art land card, and the token. Every Collector Pack features a total of 10–12 traditional foil cards.

Murders at Karlov Manor Play Booster Packs and Displays. Play Boosters include 14 Magic: The Gathering cards and a token/ad card, Suspect Punchout card, or an Art Card. Each pack comes with 1-4 cards of rarity Rare or higher, 3-6 uncommons, 6-9 commons, and a land card. One card in the pack will be a traditional foil, and traditional foil land cards come in 20% of boosters. Displays come with 36 packs.

Murders at Karlov Manor Bundle. The bundle comes with 9 Murders at Karlov Manor Play Boosters, 15 traditional foil basic lands, 15 non-foil basic lands, a bundle exclusive foil alt-art card, a storage box, a Spindown life counter, and 2 reference cards. These bundles will ship in cases of 6.

Murders at Karlov Manor Cluedo Edition. The Cluedo Edition  features 8 Ravinica: Cluedo Boosters that allow players to play a Clue-inspired game on Magic: The Gathering. It also comes with 21 Evidence cards, 1 of 10 foil Shock Lands with new art, 4 Hidden Info screens, an Evidence notepad, a case file envelope, and a card storage box.

Murders at Karlov Manor Commander Decks. The Commander Decks each come with a 100-card ready-to-play deck that features 98 additional non-foil Magic: The Gathering cards and 2 traditional foil Legendary cards. The contents of each deck include a foil-etched Display Commander, a two-card Collector Booster Sample Pack, 10 double-sided tokens, a life wheel, a strategy insert, a reference card, and a deck box. These decks come in case configurations of 4 decks per carton.

Murders at Karlov Manor Prerelease Pack. Prerelease Packs are specifically for use in prerelease events. These packs include 6 Murders at Karlov Manor Play Booster packs, one of three Mythic Rares exclusive to the prerelease pack, a year-stamped Rare or Mythic rare card, a code card for Magic: The Gathering Arena (only available in select regions), a deck box, and a Spindown life counter.
