The Ravensburger version will include a color rulebook for the first time, and will carry a price point of $24.99 in the U.S. and $29.99 in Canada.
Othello carries the tag line, “A minute to learn… a lifetime to master,” leading Ravensburger International Category Director Games Florian Baldenhofer to tie the game to the Ravensburger philosophy “…of designing games that are easy to learn, that offer depth and replayability, and that are ideal for multi-generations, bringing kids and grandkids together around the table.”
The two-player game features two-sided black or white discs, which players try to capture and convert to their own color by sandwiching their opponent’s pieces.
