Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming block has seen its ratings increase dramatically over the same period a year ago.  Roughly a half million people between 18 and 34 watch the block, up 23% from a year ago.  Adult Swim was #1 in its time period (on basic cable) among adults 18-24.

Family Guy and Futurama were in basic cable's top 50 programs for adults 18-34.

Other shows currently showing on Adult Swim include Inu Yasha, Case Closed, and Lupin III (see 'Inu Yasha, Lupin III return to Aduilt Swim'), with Ghost in the Shell:  Stand Alone Complex set to premiere in November, along with Full Metal Alchemist.

Adult Swim is a potent marketing force for pop culture retailers, with sales inevitably following the properties that air in the block.
