The expansion of the deal allows Upper Deck to create new trading cards, memorabilia, and tabletop games using DC's rich portfolio of heroes and villains. Essentially, the deal opens Upper Deck's pipeline up to creating all kinds of games and collectibles using fan favorite characters like Batman, Superman, Harley Quinn, and more.
“DC's fandom and history run deep, and we’re excited to expand those storylines and immortalize those life-changing moments of the great Super Heroes we all grew up admiring,” said Jason Masherah, president of Upper Deck about the deal expansion. “Here at Upper Deck, we only create the best collectibles and games for fans across the globe, and we look forward to working with the Warner Bros. Discovery team to extend their vision to our products.”
The products made for this deal will be part of Upper Deck's new DC collection, which is scheduled to hit stores in winter. To celebrate the deal, the company is also offering up an exclusive e-Pack, featuring Superman, that can be purchased off Upper Deck's e-pack website.
Upper Deck also announced the release date for Neopets Battledome TCG for the U.S. and Canada (see "'Neopets Battledome TCG' Release Date").
