Anime on DVD is reporting that independent distributor Pathfinder, which has released a number of live action Japanese films in the U.S., is set to release its first anime title, Tristia of the Deep Blue Sea. The first Tristia DVD, which will include the first two episodes of the new OVA series, will be released on December 14th. The fantasy series is set in the legendary city of Tristia, which was known as the 'Jewel of the Sea' until it was the victim of an attack by dragons. Now the city is holding a Golem Competition in which contestants create giant robots -- and it looks like a girl genius just might win.
The Tristia series is based on a best-selling PC game, and like Pathfinder's live action films, it will be available only in a subtitled version.
