Media Blasters is preparing to launch its first two Invader Zim mini-disks in January.  Each disk contains one 25-minute episode of the popular series by Jhonen Vasquez and will retail for $6.99.  Both Funimation and ADV have announced mini-DVD releases (see 'Funimation, 4Kids Prep DVD Singles' and 'ADV's AniMinis'), but these are the first from Media Blasters. 

Media Blasters also announced that the final Invader Zim Box Set, originally scheduled for December (see 'Invader Zim Is a 'Stealth Hit''), will not be released until January 11. 

The first Invader Zim set has been a huge hit with sales of over 150,000 units.  Retailers who carry Jhonen Vasquez's Goth-friendly comic series such as Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and Squee should seriously consider the Invader Zim sets.  Palisades Toys is also releasing a line of collectible Invader Zim toys, which should provide plenty of opportunities for cross marketing.
